October 2015

1. Annual membership and mailbox fees

You will see on your October statement the CommunityWise annual membership fee of $25, as well as a $25 fee for groups with a mailbox.  Please pay all outstanding charges by the end of October.  It works best for most members to continue to receive statements via email; however, if you do require a paper copy in your mailbox, please let us know. Contact Jian Hong at finance@communitywise.net if you have any concerns or questions about your statement.

2. Updated contact and office insurance information

If your organization has had a recent change of board or staff, please let us know. CommunityWise needs to have the most up-to-date contact information for invoicing and for member communications.

Members with office rental agreements are required to provide the CommunityWise Admin office with a certificate of insurance for our files. If you have recently renewed your insurance and have not given us a copy, please do so as soon as possible. Also, if you currently do not have office contents insurance and would like to know more about coverage, please get in touch with us at contact@communitywise.net. We are setting up a session with an insurance company to help answer questions.

3. Internet at CommunityWise building

CommunityWise is launching a shared internet service. All tenant members (those renting offices) will be included in this service. Members, please watch for upcoming messages to you this month. We will need to know when your current contract, if you have one, expires. We will also let you know how much the internet service will cost once you join. As a shared service managed by CommunityWise we have been able to secure this service that will almost without exception cost less for everyone. It will also ensure a high level of connectivity.

4. Dumpster- Now located in the parking lot of the Hop in Brew (east of CommunityWise)

Contrary to what we told you last month, the dumpster has been now been permanently relocated to the Hop in Brew pub parking lot (east of CommunityWise beside the Beltline Fitness Centre). Should you need assistance in bringing waste to the bin, please let CommunityWise staff know. We apologize for the inconvenience.
