June 2014

June 2014
CommunityWise Resource Centre

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the 2014 CommunityWise AGM last month and to the countless others who were there in spirit. We would like to warmly welcome our newest Board Members: Brett Mason, Sally Truss, Ernesto Gudiño, Lori DeLuca and Tove Engebretsen.
Throughout 2014 we are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Old Y Action Groups (predecessor to what would eventually become CommunityWise). As we celebrate our incredible history so far, we are also looking forward and are thrilled to be continuing on this amazing path with our current membership of nearly 90 organizations and individuals!
You can view CommunityWise's Annual Report

At the AGM we announced the 35 Things for CommunityWise list we've put together in celebration of our 35th anniversary. Download your own list

3. Front yard re-development

Beginning in the later part of June, the City of Calgary will begin re-developing our front lawn, along with that of our neighbours at the Beltline Pool and Fitness Centre. Members parking their vehicles in the front driveway are reminded to please leave their phone contact information on their dashboards. Drivers must be prepared to move their vehicle for others to get out at any time.
